Product Specification

H13 steel is the most widely used and most representative hot work die steel, its main characteristics are:

(1) With high hardenability and high toughness;

(2) excellent thermal cracking resistance, can be water cooled in the workplace;

(3) with moderate wear resistance, can also use carburizing or nitriding process to improve the surface hardness, but slightly to reduce the ability to resist hot cracking;

(4) because of its low carbon content, the secondary hardening ability in tempering is poor;

(5) it has anti-softening ability at higher temperature, but the hardness decreases rapidly when the temperature is higher than 540ºC (1000ºF) (that is, the working temperature of the ability is 540ºC);

(6) The deformation of heat treatment is small;

(7) Medium and high machinability;

(8) Moderate resistance to decarbonization.

More remarkable, it can also be used to make important components in the aviation industry.
