Automotive Ignition Coils: An Introduction

As automobile gasoline engines develop toward high speed, high compression ratio, high power, low fuel consumption, and low emissions, traditional ignition devices can no longer meet the requirements. The core components of an ignition system are the ignition coil and switching device. If the energy of the ignition coil is increased, the spark plug can cause enough energy to generate sparks. Automotive Ignition Coils: Structural Information

Ignition coils generally have two sets of coils, primary coils and secondary coils. The primary coil uses thick enameled wire, usually 0.5-1 mm enameled wire wound with 200-500 turns. The secondary coil is made of thin enameled wire, usually 15000-25000 turns of enameled wire of about 0.1 mm.
