In earthwork engineering, more and more rippers have been used for operations, and can even partially replace the conventional drilling and blasting method. The ripper is suitable for large-scale excavation of frozen soil and mine stripping construction. Excavating frozen soil with a ripper, the energy consumption per unit of earthwork is only 0.22-0.66kwh/m, while excavating frozen soil with other methods can reach 1.0-2.0kwh/m. In the area, scrapers with higher productivity can be used to clean up. The operation of scarifiers has low vibration, low noise and safety, and is especially suitable for operations in cities and near nuclear power plants (because the drilling and blasting method cannot replace the scarifiion operations in these areas).
