Materials available for your thermoforming film: PP, PE, PA, paper.
For thermoforming bottom film, in combination with lidding material, for packing tortillas, wraps and pancakes, we usually suggest PA/PE or PA/PP structures with:
High gloss, highly transparent
Excellent puncture resistance
Easy-opening either in the bottom-film (or tray) or in the lidding
For microwaveable applications we apply PP-based solutions which can easily be transformed to a tray by thermoforming. If needed also with EVOH barrier.
Both for the lidding as well as for the thermoformable bottom films, Hawking is working on more sustainable solutions for our customers, either based on PE or PP mono multilayers.
