Aluminum Foil Tape with Solvent Acrylic Adhesive is a high-grade tape specifically designed for demanding sealing and fastening applications. It uses a high tensile strength aluminum foil with a nominal thickness of 40 microns as the backing, which is coated with a high-performance solvent acrylic adhesive and protected by an easy-release silicone release paper. The total thickness is approximately 80 microns, ensuring excellent physical properties while providing ease of handling.

The tape's outstanding performance stems from its premium materials and construction. The aluminum foil backing not only provides a high tensile strength of up to 55 N/25mm but also effectively reflects heat and light. The core solvent acrylic adhesive delivers a strong adhesion and bond strength of up to 18 N/25mm, ensuring a permanent seal and bond on various surfaces, especially on Foil-Scrim-Kraft facing joints and seams commonly found in HVAC ductwork applications. Furthermore, it features an extremely low elongation (3.0%) and low moisture vapor transmission rate (MVTR), offering excellent dimensional stability and sealing performance. Its weather resistance ensures long-term stability in both indoor and outdoor environments, with strong anti-aging properties.

This tape is primarily used in the HVAC industry and is an ideal choice for sealing joints and seams of foil-faced insulation materials as well as for joining and sealing flexible air ducts. Its applications are extensive, suitable for general purpose holding, patching, sealing and masking applications. Due to its wide service temperature range (-30°C to +120°C), it can withstand environments from severe cold to high heat, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including applications in the refrigerator industry, metal patching and sound dampening.

To meet different application scenarios and production needs, the tape is available in various specifications. Common cut roll widths include 48/50mm, 60/63mm, 72/75mm, 96mm, and 100mm.  Log rolls have a standard width of 1200 mm and lengths of 45 or 50 meters.   Additionally, jumbo rolls with a width of 1200 mm and lengths up to 1000 m, 1200 m, or 1350 m are available to meet the needs of industrial mass production. All specifications adhere to strict tolerances in weight, thickness, width, and length.

To ensure optimal performance, correct application guidelines must be followed. As with all pressure-sensitive tapes, the application surface must be clean, dry, and free from any grease, oil, or other contaminants. Application is recommended at an ambient temperature between 10°C and 40°C, with adequate pressure applied after application.
