Trailer Axle Spindles with Parking Level Electric Brake
Bearing Adjustment Specifications
- 9K-10K General Duty and 10K-15K Heavy Duty Axles
- Correct bearing adjustment: 0.01 to 0.10 end play
Installation Procedure
- Rotate hub assembly slowly while tightening inner lock nut to 100 lb-ft to seat bearings
- Loosen inner lock nut to remove pre-load torque (do not rotate hub)
- Finger tighten inner lock nut and snug
- Back inner lock nut out 1/4 to 3/4 turn
- Install tang washer and outer lock nut, bend two tangs over inner lock nut
- Torque outer lock nut to 100-150 ft-lbs, ensuring inner lock nut does not turn
- Bend 2 tangs over flats on outer lock nut to secure
