ETFE is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer with many interesting properties:

robust material: it is able to support loads up to 400 times its weight
good resistance to weathering,

suitable operating temperature range: from -80 °C to 155 °C,
advantageously recyclable,
With its semi-crystalline nature, ETFE is a good alternative to glass, which is more expensive and has a density of 2.5. The density of ETFE is only 1.7.
