When light is irradiated on the pv panels, the light energy is transformed into electric energy. The output current of the pv panels is unstable due to the impact of the environment. It needs to be transformed into a stable current through the inverter before it can be loaded on the battery, charge the battery, and then supply power to the load. In other words, solar off grid system must use battery energy storage.
Working Principles of The Whole System
1. During the day
- The sun provides energy to solar system
- Solar system provides electricity for the load by inverters (inver DC to AC)
- Excess electricity is stored in ESS(energy storage system)
- When the load power is high, ESS operates with PV system to provide electricity
- ESS can also be charged by grid if possible
2. In the evening
- ESS provides electricity
3. Energy storge plays an integral role in the solar off grid system.
