Blood meal is dry and inert powder made from animal blood and widely used as high nitrogen organic fertilizer and high protein animal feed. It contains 13.25% nitrogen, 1.0% phosphorus and 0.6% Potassium. It is non-synthetic source of nitrogen and usually comes from slaughterhouse by-product.

Blood meal has as high as 90% percents protein. There are a lots of lysine, tryptophane and methionine amino acids in its composition. As an important protein supplement, it is popularly used as protein concerntrate in animal feeds since there is no fibre and generate higher protein intake without increasing feed volume.
