What is Conveyor belt hot vulcanization jointing/ splicing?
All-In-One Portable Conveyor Belt Jointing Machine For Stainless Steel Conveyor Belt Jointing The standard Conveyor Belt Hot Vulcanizing Joint used for all types of conveyor belts excepting 2 to 8 ply. Itis the strongest and most reliable method of joining a belt and should be used wherever possible, it is nearly as strong as the belt itself is less troublesome than other fastening methods and results in longer belt life. The surface is left smooth so that scrapers and brushes can be used more effectively and with less risk of damage to the belt than with a fastener joint. The belt is integrated, and the strength of the hot jointing can reach 80-90%. And it can prolong the life of conveyor accessories such as belts, rollers and idlers.
How do you Vulcanize a conveyor belt?
Operation process of rubber layered conveyor belt hot vulcanized joint compound
Take the 4-layer fabric conveyor belt as an example
Belt layering
The vulcanization length is 75cm, measure 60cm, divide it into 3 equal parts, peel it off in a trapezoid shape to expose the next layer of fabric, and peel off the joints at the opposite sides respectively.
To polish
Use an angle grinder to polish off the residual glue on the peeled surface, lightly polish the fabric layer, and use an angle grinder to polish the 10cm rubber into a rough surface. The rubber on the front and back of the peeled side is also polished.
Rubber coating
Apply hot vulcanized glue SK813 evenly on the polished surfaces of the two joint fabrics
Paste the hot vulcanized core glue evenly and flatly on the end joint of the coated glue, lay several layers of core glue, lay glue at the edge, cut the core glue into strips, and layer the layers to ensure uniform, flat and compact.
Lay a certain thickness of hot vulcanized surface glue on the polished surface of the joint surface.
Each layer of glue should be painted with hot vulcanized glue.
Vulcanization
The vulcanizer is placed flat, the steel beam is tightened with screws, the conveyor belt joint is pressed after the pressing plate is pressed, the heating plate is filled with water, heated to 145 ℃, kept for 30 minutes, and the vulcanization is completed.
