304L stainless steel is an extra-low carbon version of the 304 steel alloy. The lower carbon content in 304L minimizes
deleterious carbide precipitation as a result of welding. 304L can therefore be used "as welded" in severe corrosion
environments and it eliminates the need for annealing.
This grade has slightly lower mechanical properties than the standard 304 grade, but it's nonetheless widely used thanks
to its versatility. Like Type 304 stainless steel, it's commonly used in beer-brewing and wine-making, but also for purposes
beyond the food industry such as in chemical containers, mining and construction. It's ideal for use in metal parts such as
nuts and bolts that will be exposed to salt wate.

Chemical composition
(1) Composition index: the chemical composition of stainless steel flat steel belongs to the rolled steel series for general structure, and the main inspection index is C, Mn, P, S. According to the different brand, the content is different, the approximate range is C< 0.08%, Mn: 2.0, P< 0.035%, S< 0.03%.
(2) Inspection methods: The commonly used standard inspection methods for the above chemical compositions are GB223, JISG1211-1215, BS1837, BS Manual 19, г с т 22536, etc.
The standard specifications
GB/ T2101-89 (General requirements for acceptance, Packing, Marking and Quality Certificate of section steel); Gb9787-88 / GB9788-88 (hot rolling size, shape, weight and allowable deviation); Jisg3192-94 (Shape, Size, weight and Tolerances of hot-rolled sections); DIN17100 -- 80 (quality standard for ordinary structural steel); Technical specifications of general carbon type steel EK35 -- 88.
According to the above standards, the goods should be delivered in bundles, and the bundling times and the length of the same bundle should meet the requirements. Generally delivered without packing, transportation and storage must pay attention to moisture.
Mechanical properties of
(1) Inspection method:
Tensile test method. The commonly used standard examination methods are GB/T228-87, JISZ2201, JISZ2241, ASTMA370, г с т 1497, BS18, DIN50145 and so on;
② Bending test method. The commonly used standard examination methods are GB/T232-88, JISZ2204, JISZ2248, ASTME290, г с т 14019, DIN50111 and so on.
(2) Performance indicators: The test items to evaluate performance are mainly tensile test and bending test. The index includes yield point, tensile strength, elongation and bending qualification.
