Channel steel classification
Channel is divided into ordinary channel and light channel. The specification of hot-rolled ordinary channel steel is 5-40#. The specification of hot-rolled flexible channel steel supplied by agreement of both parties is 6.5-30#. Channel steel is mainly used in building structures, vehicle manufacturing, other industrial structures and fixed cabinets, etc. Channel steel is often used with I-steel.
Channel steel can be divided into four kinds according to shape: cold-formed equilateral channel steel, cold-formed unequal channel steel, cold-formed inner coil side channel steel, cold-formed outer coil side channel steel. According to the theory of steel structure, it should be the channel steel wing plate force, that is, the channel steel should be standing, not lying down.
Specification setting of channel steel
Channel steel specifications are mainly expressed by height (H), leg width (B), waist thickness (D) and other dimensions, the current domestic channel steel specifications from 5-40, that is, the corresponding height of 5-40cm.
At the same height, light channel steel has narrower legs, thinner waist and lighter weight than ordinary channel steel. No. 18-40 is large channel steel, no. 5-16 channel steel is medium channel steel. The actual specifications, dimensions and relevant standards of imported channel steel shall be marked. Channel steel import and export orders are generally determined in the corresponding carbon bonded steel (or low alloy steel) steel number, in order to use the requirements of the main specifications. Channel steel has no specific composition or performance series other than specification number.
The delivery length of channel steel can be divided into fixed length and multiple length, and the allowable value is specified in the corresponding standard. The length selection range of domestic channel steel is divided into 5 -- 12m, 5 -- 19m and 6 -- 19m according to different specifications. The length of the inlet channel steel selection range is generally 6-15m.
