Operation & Configuration
The Logix 3200MD positioner is an electric feedback instrument that can control both double- and single-acting actuators with linear or rotary mountings. The positioner receives power from the two-wire 4-20 mA input signal and supports two command signal sources: Analog (4-20 mA signal) and Digital (HART protocol).
Control Function
In Analog source mode, the 4-20 mA signal is converted to a percentage, with 0% representing valve closed position and 100% representing valve open position. The command source can be configured using ValveSight software, HART 375 communicator, or other host software.
Important Note: The air supply must conform to ISA Standard ISA 7.0.01 (dew point at least 18°F below ambient temperature, particle size below five microns—one micron recommended—and oil content not to exceed one part per million).
