Milling Drum Segment
A milling drum segment refers to the individual sections into which the main milling drum of a cold milling machine is divided axially. Each segment can be independently equipped with cutting tools and can be separately removed or replaced according to operational requirements.
The main advantages of this segmented design are that it allows operators to flexibly adjust the milling width by adding or removing segments, and when a particular segment wears out or gets damaged, only that segment needs to be replaced rather than the entire drum, thereby reducing maintenance costs.
