ABS Vacuum Extruded Trim Sections Custom Profile Plastics For Construction Use
Non Standard Vacuum Extrusion Processing ABS Plastic Profile Applications In The Construction Plumbing Etc.
What is Extrusion?
Extrusion is a continuous process, in which the finished products are obtained by forcing molten material through a forming tool (spinneret, an extrusion head, orifice). The material used in the extrusion process is characterized by a high level of viscosity, and the products are obtained with a cross-section of the desired shape, such as plastic. Extrusion, in other words, can be considered as a complex physical-chemical process that takes place under the influence of mechanical forces, high temperature, and humidity. The processed raw materials are heated by heat, which is released during the process of overcoming internal friction and deformation of the material, and also due to external heating.
WHAT IS ABS PLASTIC?
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) is a terpolymer consisting of acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. It is a light-weight, strong, rigid, resilient thermoplastic material. It has high impact and high mechanical strength, excellent electrical properties, and abrasion and moisture resistant. In addition, ABS exhibits high chemical resistance to many acids, alkalis, oils, and salts. It can be manufactured in different formulations to meet 2 wide variety of applications.

The Characteristics of ABS
ABS is synthesized from three chemical monomers: acrylonitrile, butadiene, and styrene. (Each monomer has different characteristics: acrylonitrile has high strength, thermal stability, and chemical stability; butadiene has toughness and impact resistance; styrene has easy processing, high gloss, and high strength.
Polymerization of the three monomers resulted in a terpolymer with two phases, one was a continuous phase of styrene-acrylonitrile, and the other was a polybutadiene rubber dispersed phase. From the morphological point of view, ABS is a non-crystalline material with high mechanical strength and good comprehensive properties of “tough, tough and steel”. It is a general-purpose engineering plastic being widely used. Low shrinkage (0.60%), stable shape building, and they are easy to form and process.
