CNG pressure gauge is an important accessory of natural gas vehicle. It is installed on the
air inlet valve connected between the CNG pressure regulator and the steel cylinder, and its
main function is to display the pressure of natural gas in the gas cylinder.
A gas pressure sensor is integrated in the gauge, which can transmit the pressure signal to
the petrol-gas change-over switch in the car cab, so as to display the amount of natural gas
in the cylinder by switch indicator lights.
When the CNG cylinder is filled with natural gas (the pressure is 180-200bar), the four green
indicators of the change-over switch are all on (the red light is off);
when the pressure drops to 165-155bar, the fourth green light is off;
when the pressure drops to 130-120bar, the third green light is off;
when the pressure drops to 90-70bar, the second green light is off;
when the pressure drops to 45-35bar, the fourth green light is off and the red light is on for
alarm.
At this time, the gas fuel stored in the CNG cylinder can drive the car for 15-25 kilometers
(depending on the car model).
