The Ce:GAGG crystals appeared to be the most attractive material for its light output, decay time, energy resolution, density and absence of intrinsic radioactivity, which is promising for applying in the field of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray and γ-ray detection, medical imaging techniques, nuclear and high energy physics.
