Cs2LiYCl6:Ce (CLYC) crystal is a promising gamma / neutron detection scintillation crystal, not only of gamma measurement with high light output (20000 photons / MeV.. accordingly), fast decay (1 ns), high energy resolution (5%137Cs source) and the gamma energy response linear (~1%), but also has high light output (70000 photon and neutron) and high alpha / beta ratio ~0.61 for thermal neutron measurements, has good neutron gamma ray discrimination ability.
