Ceramic and stone tiles are brittle materials whose exposed edges are prone to cracking and chipping when left unprotected. Tiled stair edges that do not utilize appropriate trim pieces are left vulnerable to chipping and breaking and can create a slip hazard, especially in exterior applications. Stair-nosing profiles protect exposed tile edges and improve safety on tiled stairways by providing slip-resistant wear surfaces and increased visibility in both residential and commercial applications.


Feature

A commercial type aluminium stair step nosing profile that features a PVC anti-slip insert in colours to match decor available (black,beige,brown,white,red,grey,blue,green,yellow ),permanently bonded to a sturdy base of extruded aluminum.As this anti slip stair nosing has a ramp profile,it can be fitted after a floor has been laid,and can be fitted retrospectively to existing stairs virtually on any stair material for upgrading or renovating existing steps.It is ideal for lino,vinyl,laminate flooring ,lightweight carpets and carpet tiles,and has also been designed to meet the need for safety edging where no floor covering is to be installed,making it ideal for installing over concrete,pavers,stone,timber and other solid surfaces.The anti slip stair nosing comes pre-drilled with countersunk screw holes,with pips to hide the screw heads.The countersunk screw holes are evenly spaced from either end of the tread.

Use
 

A technical/decorative profile in chromed brass for ceramic tile/wood steps.‎ Its particular rounded shape has been conceived to create the “torus” of the step, which is normally created with special pieces.‎ Elegant profile for all public/ private environments.‎ In order to perfect placing and to look after details, external angles and closing caps are available.‎

stair-nosing profiles require no special maintenance or care and are resistant to mold and fungi. Clean profiles periodically using pH neutral cleaning agents.

Oxidation films on aluminum may be removed with a conventional polishing agent, but the film will form again. In the case of anodized aluminum, do not use abrasive or strong alkaline cleaning agents.
