Application
 

Due to their resistance to oxidation, Anodised aluminium stair nosing profiles enhance indoor and outdoor installations. The non-slip, ribbed tread profile section is available with a rounded or squared angle, perfect for retrofitting damaged stairs and concealing edge imperfections. The profile may be fastened with flathead screws or appropriate adhesive. This stair nosing profile is equipped with a slightly rounded edge and grooved top surface. The carved internal cavity soundly adheres to pre-existing stairs.


Feature

Extruded Aluminum Nosings are manufactured with a base container of 6061-T5 extruded aluminum filled with an abrasive mixture of aluminum oxide and silicon blend, compacted and bonded by 100% solid epoxy. Extrusions are designed for installation during a new concrete pour and barrier free products are offered for installation on sheet metal pan treads.

Manufactured in lengths up to 24′-0”, nosings are offered cut-to-length to save on costly field labor. Stock colors are black or yellow, with a wide range of optional colors available on special order. If specified, factory tape is applied to the abrasive surface to provide protection during installation.

Use
 

A technical/decorative profile in chromed brass for ceramic tile/wood steps.‎ Its particular rounded shape has been conceived to create the “torus” of the step, which is normally created with special pieces.‎ Elegant profile for all public/ private environments.‎ In order to perfect placing and to look after details, external angles and closing caps are available.‎

stair-nosing profiles require no special maintenance or care and are resistant to mold and fungi. Clean profiles periodically using pH neutral cleaning agents.

Oxidation films on aluminum may be removed with a conventional polishing agent, but the film will form again. In the case of anodized aluminum, do not use abrasive or strong alkaline cleaning agents.
