Application

This custom-built architectural product, aluminium tile trim (also known as wall tile) creates a smooth transition between the tile and another floor surface at the same height as the wood or carpet.
The aluminum tile edging outline creates an attractive finished edge while protecting your tiles from chipping. The profile is made of high-quality anodized aluminum with an integrated straight-edge grout line for faster installation without the need for gaskets between the trim and the tile.

Feature

• Use where tile edges are not protected by grout joints and where an attractive and professional finish is desired.
• T shape trims can also be used with other floor materials and applications, such as carpet and wood and may also be used to trim window sills, wall corners and floor transitions where the tile edges are exposed to impact.
• Anodised to provide high corrosion resistance and optimum seal to ensure years of wear and tear without milking or flaking occuring.
• Quality tile edging trims made with Grade 6463-T6 aluminium.

Use
 

1. Select shape according to width of the gap or joint to be covered.

2. Make sure the gap is clean and free from obstruction that would hinder the shape from setting level on the tile or flooring material.

3. Caulk the joint with a silicone or elastomeric caulk being careful not to overfill the joint.

4. Insert the anchoring leg into the gap so the edges of the profile rest on the edges of the flooring material and covering the gap. The anchor leg should be partially buried in the sealant.

5. Gently position the profile so it is straight.

6. Immediately remove any excess sealant and let sealant cure according to manufacturer’s directions.
