Application
The properties of lead glass make it useful for many applications. The majority of them, however, make use of its optical properties, in particular. Here are a few examples:
Lead glass almost used in the manufacturing of optical instruments, art vessels, etc.
And known as medical X- ray radiation-proof lead glass plate in the medical field.

Lead glass is thus more fluid and easier to work with and fabricate than soda glass because it can be worked on at
a wider temperature range while still being more malleable and less brittle than ordinary glass.
Attention:
1. Lead glass is a brittle material with a large proportion, so it must be handled gently when it is moved.
2. When installation, the glass must be mismatched with the wall protection material to prevent radiation leakage at the joint.
3. As lead glass materials are rich in lead and barium, lead glass is easy to be contaminated by acid and base,
and is not easy to be installed or stored in a sour or humid environment.
4. The surface of lead glass is more easily scratched than that of ordinary glass and should be handled with care.
