CT Installation Projects. To provide viewing of the patient in the x-ray room while providing protection to
the operator, lead glass viewing windows can be furnished in the barrier. Lead glass can be installed in
multiple layers so as to provide a lead equivalency to the lead in the wall in which it is installed.

B. As lead glass materials are rich in lead and barium, lead glass is easy to be contaminated by acid and
base, and is not easy to be installed or stored in a sour or humid environment.
C. When installation, the glass must be mismatched with the wall protection material to prevent radiation
leakage at the joint.
