Product Description
Polyoxymethylene (POM) parts are widely used in industrial manufacturing due to their excellent mechanical properties and stable chemical characteristics. POM material features high strength, high rigidity, low coefficient of friction and good wear resistance, which makes POM parts perform well in gears, bearings, pulleys and precision mechanical components. Through CNC machining, POM parts can be manufactured with higher precision. Meanwhile, its corrosion resistance and low water absorption make it suitable for various complex environments.
POM Machining Parameters
- Cutting depth: Generally no more than 1/3 of the material thickness
- Tool material: Carbide tools or high-speed steel tools, with sharp cutting edges
- Coolant: It is recommended to use water-soluble coolant or light oil to reduce heat accumulation
