50CrV4 1.8159 Cold Rolled Steel Strip
DIN 17222 50CrV4 1.8159 Cold Rolled Steel Strips for Springs
Cold rolled steel strip for springs is distinguished by high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality and, in the cold rolled + hardened + tempered condition (H + A) offers the possibility of achieving high values of hardness, tensile strength and elastic limit.
50CrV4 1.8159 Introduce
50CrV4 1.8159 steel is related grades with the same range of alloying additives. It is distinguished by the higher carbon content, which makes it possible to achieve even higher hardness after heat treatment.51CrV4 / 50CrV4 / 58CrV4 / 59CrV4 grades are supplied as hot-rolled bars, drawn bars, wires, spring stripes, forgings are used for the production of heavy-duty springs, axles, crankshafts, connecting rods, compression springs, valve springs, springs, shock absorbers or spring washers. It is mainly supplied in an annealed, softened, heat-treated and raw conditions. Steel does not exhibit corrosion resistance, so products should be protected with greases or coatings.
