Defining a PET Preform
The preform is an article made of Polyethylene Terephthalate, commonly known as PET.
It is normally manufactured using a mould on an injection system, which is subsequently
blown into a container for edible or non-edible liquids (water, soft drinks, milk, alcohol, oils,
detergents, personal care) on a blowmoulding system.
In practice, what comes out of the machine is a test-tube shaped object with a threaded,
finished neck that is then transformed into a customised container used to distinguish a
specific brand.
Injection process
After all, how plastic is made? As we said earlier, there are three ways to do it. Among them,
there is injection, which consists of casting the polymer to mold it according to the desired
purpose. Toys, home appliances, and medical equipment are made this way.
This process begins with the addition of plastic raw in the feed region of the injection molding
machine. The resin is sent to a heated area, passing through a screw that transforms the
polymeric granules into a plasticized mass.
Next, this mass is compelled by the screw to a mold, which was previously changed to have
dimensions and details of the piece that will be produced.
After the processing conclusion, operators responsible for manufacturing perform the inspection,
finishing (if necessary), packaging and transport. After the closing of these steps, the final
products are sent to the client.
Blowing process
Finally, blowing is another way of how is plastic created through rigid packaging, used in
different applications. The product manufactured by this processing is used in the production
of packaging for the cosmetic, agricultural, provision, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries.
The transformation by blowing starts with the transport of the raw material for plastic industry to
the machine feed. After that, the material is taken to a heated cylinder, which counts on a screw
conveyor, capable of modifying the chemical structure of the piece to a plasticized mass.
This mass is transformed into a product with a hollow and cylindrical mold, called “parison”. After
leaving the matrix, it is placed in a shape configured for the piece that will be produced. In this
step, the material receives compressed air and blowing pressure.
Whatever the chosen process for the manufacture of the additive compounds, the desired result
is obtained when a good-quality raw material is used. Therefore, it is very important to verify
which solutions are used by the company chosen as a supplier of your business

FAQ
Q1.What is a preform?
A: A preform is the first stage in the production of a PET container. PET needs to be
heated and stretched to make it strong and flexible. The first part of the production
process for a PET bottle or jar is to injection mould a "test tube" like part, called a preform.
The neck of the preform remains the same but the body of the preform is heated and
stretched inside a mould to form the container shape. This normally occurs at a later date on
a reheat blow moulding machine.
Q2:How about the price range?
A: The unit price range depends on the raw material price of the time different, exchange
rate and quality different etc.. About the latest price, send an inquiry to us please.
We'll try our best to reply this asap.
Q3.What is your terms of payment?
A: T/T 30% as deposit, and 70% before delivery. We'll show you the photos of the products
and packages before you pay the balance.
Q4. What's your samples policy?
A:We can supply the sample if we have ready parts in stock, but customers were asked to
pay the sample cost and the courier cost.
Q5. Do you test all of your products before delivery?
A: Yes, we have 100% test our products before delivery .
