PRODUCT OVERVIEW
Custom deep-pocket carrier tape is intended for electronic components whose body height or geometry requires a specially developed formed cavity. Relays, connectors and other taller devices may need a different pocket design from shallow SMD packaging. The purpose is to locate each approved component in an individual pocket with a defined orientation, while allowing the packaging arrangement to be evaluated for handling, storage and compatible feeding equipment.
COMPONENT-LED CAVITY DESIGN
Pocket development should begin with the complete component drawing or a representative sample. Body dimensions, terminal projection, fragile features, center of gravity and pickup requirements can all influence the cavity. The component must seat at the intended support points with suitable clearance; Different component types generally require their own fit review, even when their overall dimensions appear similar.
WIDTH AND PITCH SELECTION
widths of 8 ,16, 24, 32, 44, 56, 72 and 88 mm. These are related-series reference options, not proof that every deep cavity can be produced at every width.
QUOTATION AND QUALIFICATION
Please provide the component drawing, intended orientation, estimated order quantity, preferred tape width and equipment information. Include any handling, transport or electrical requirements relevant to the component. Confirm feasibility and tooling requirements before ordering samples. Sample evaluation should cover fit, retention, component removal, feeding, cover-tape behavior and winding where applicable. Current price and timing should be agreed after the design and order scope are defined.
