Composition and Function

The inertial measurement unit integrates multiple precision sensors and processing components:

  • Three-axis gyroscope for angular rate measurement
  • Three-axis accelerometer for acceleration measurement
  • Three-axis tilt angle sensor (optional)
  • Temperature sensor for environmental compensation
  • Signal processing board with advanced algorithms

The system measures three-axis angular rate, acceleration, and tilt angle of the carrier, then outputs compensated data (including temperature compensation, installation misalignment compensation, and nonlinear compensation) through an RS-422 serial port using standardized communication protocols.
