Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) hydroponic system is a highly efficient hydroponic technology. The roots of the plants grow in plastic tubes or fixed channels or planting grafting baskets, and the nutrient solution is continuously circulated through the channels to provide the plants with necessary nutrients and water.
NFT hydroponic system is most commonly used to grow smaller fast-growing plants such as different types of lettuce, leafy greens. It is very popular among home hydroponic growers. In addition to growing lettuce, some commercial growers also grow different types of herbs
