Testing Applications
The equipment is designed for comprehensive flammability testing of finished wire and cable products, including:
- 1060 vertical combustion and FT1 testing
- 1061 cable combustion testing
- 1080 VW-1 (vertical specimen) combustion testing
- 1090 electric wire horizontal specimen combustion testing
- 1100 horizontal specimen/FT2 combustion specimen testing
The primary testing objective is to evaluate the flame spread capacity of electric wires and soft-lines when exposed to fire conditions.
