How Air Diaphragm Pumps Work
Air diaphragm pumps (AODD) are positive displacement pumps featuring two pumping chambers that alternately fill and discharge via flexible diaphragm movement. Compressed air is cycled to create the pumping action, making them ideal for transfer applications involving challenging fluids.
Operating Principle
The pump utilizes two diaphragms and four check balls. When compressed air pushes one diaphragm outward, it forces fluid through the outlet while the opposite diaphragm creates vacuum to draw in fluid. This alternating cycle provides continuous, variable flow based on air volume and pressure input.
