Overview of New Energy Vehicle Batteries

It can be said that in a pure electric vehicle, the battery is its heart. Similarly, in a hybrid vehicle, the battery can also be considered another heart. The battery is externally charged through the power plug, supplies power to the electric motor, drives the vehicle, and stores the energy recovered by braking at the same time.

At present, the most successful power battery developed in the world is the chemical battery, which converts electrical energy into chemical energy when charging; and converts chemical energy into electrical energy when discharging.

In automotive applications, many independent electrochemical cells are connected in series to form a battery pack, also known as a battery pack.

Taking the BYD battery pack as an example, the battery pack has a total of 10 modules, each module has 10 cells, each cell is 3.3V, and the battery pack voltage is 330V.
