Product Overview

The PS Plate, widely utilized in the commercial printing industry, offers numerous advantages to printers. It consists of a thin aluminum sheet with a photosensitive layer on its surface, which reacts to UV light by creating image areas that attract ink while repelling water. As a result, the non-image areas remain hydrophilic and do not attract ink.

To produce a print using a PS Plate, the plate is exposed to UV light, initiating a chemical reaction that forms the image areas. The unexposed portions of the photosensitive layer are then removed through processing, leaving behind only the image areas. The plate is subsequently washed and dried before it can be utilized for printing.

It can be used with both water-based and oil-based inks, making it suitable for printing on various materials such as paper, cardboard, and plastics.
