1. What is 1000 series aluminum used for
1000 series aluminium sheet and coil are essentially pure aluminium with a minimum 99% aluminium content by weight and can be work hardened, the aluminium alloys are widely used for industrial purpose and chemical equipment.
2. Can you weld aluminum to steel?
Aluminium alloys can be joined to steels relatively easily using techniques such as adhesive bonding, mechanical fasteners or brazing, but when superior structural integrity is required, welding is preferred. However, welding of aluminium alloys to steel is difficult.
1000 Series Aluminum is a soft and very ductile material, with excellent workability. This material is well suited for applications that involve severe forming because it work hardens more slowly during the forming process. 1000 Series Aluminum takes extremely well to welding and is the most weldable of all aluminum alloys.
