Note: Do not install the lip type seal (1) by hand. Use the installation tool and a press to install the lip type seal. Make sure that the primary lip is towards the water pump drive gear. Press the lip type seal is flush into the counterbore.
Use the installation tool to install the seal group (2). Press the seal group onto the shaft until the stationary cup of the seal group is fully seated in the pump housing.
3 1 0S-1591 Bolt Torque to 39 3 N.m (29 2 lb ft).
A 1 135-4928 Water Pump Shaft Diameter of the water pump shaft is 19.100 0.010 mm (0.752 0.0004 inch).
B - - Installation height is 10.92 0.13 mm (0.43 0.005 inch).
- - - Maximum air leakage per minute with an air pressure test of 140 kPa (20 psi).
Water side not to exceed 10 cc (0.6 cu in).
Oil side not to exceed 24 cc (1.5 cu in).
