The seamless steel pipe is made of a whole piece of metal and has no seam on the surface. According
to the production method,seamless pipes are divided into hot tube, cold-rolled pipe, cold-drawn pipe,
extruded pipe, pipe jacking, etc. According to the cross-sectional shape, seamless steel pipes are divided
into circular and special-shaped pipes. Special-shaped pipes have many complex shapes, such as square,
oval, triangle, hexagon, melon seeds, star and finned pipes. Seamless steel pipes are mainly used as drilling
pipes for petroleum geology, cracking pipes for petrochemical industry, boiler tubes, bearing pipes and
high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors and aviation.

 

An Alloy Steel Pipe is used in applications which require moderate corrosion resistance properties with good

durability and at an economical cost. To simply put it, alloy pipes are preferred in those areas where carbon

steel pipes may fail. There are two classes of alloy steels - high alloys and low alloy steels. Pipes that constitute

low alloy steels have an alloying content that ranges below 5%. Whereas the alloying content of a high alloy

steel would range between 5% to about 50%. Similar to most alloys the working pressure ability of an Alloy

Steel Seamless Pipe is about 20% higher than a welded pipe. So in applications that have a higher working

pressure as a prerequisite, the use of a seamless pipe is justified.
