Natural Organic HaNPV & Bt Biopesticide with 10 million PIB/mL HaNPV+2000IU/mL Bt for Helicoverpa armigera Control - No Safety Interval & Strong Selectivity
NPVs are most commonly considered for development of microbial insecticides because of the inexpensive formulation technologies and relatively simple and standard pesticide application methods.
A few of the granulosis viruses like, GV of Cydia pomonella for the control of codling moth of apple and pears in Europe and GV of Pieris rapae for the control of Pieris rapae in China and GV of Erinnyis ello for the control of cassava horn worm in Brazil have been successfully used as biocontrol agents.
Helicoverpa armigera nucleo polyhedro virus (HaNPV) is a microorganism that kills cotton helicoverpa armigera. After spraying onto crops and being eaten by pests, the virus particles replicate and multiply in the pest body, and quickly spread to all parts of the pest. Parts of the body are drastically engulfed to consume the tissues of the worms, and the pests do not eat or move during the period of ‘illness’, causing a sub-lethal effect, and eventually the whole body is killed by water, spraying on the insects, the larvae that will hatch will bite after eating the egg shell Death by feeding on the virus. In addition, virus particles can continue to be transmitted to the next generation or other pests through the body fluids and feces of dead insects like a ‘plague’, so that field pests can be effectively controlled for a long time.

Dosage: Similarly, the NPV of Spodoptera litura is mass produced on the larvae of S. litura. Spraying of NPV late in the evening and addition of UV blockers are recommended to improve the effectiveness of NPV. For chickpea, pigeon pea and cotton, HaNPV should be used at 3200~6400mL/Ha, spray, respectively
