Product Description

Low Price Synthetic Graphite With High Temperature Resistance Graphite Power

What is artificial graphite?

Artificial graphite (nongraphitic carbon) is fabricated by heat treatment of petroleum coke, coal-tar pitch, or oil. Specific capacity and reversibility is lost at high temperatures from 1000 Ah kg−1 (at 500 °C) to 150 Ah kg−1 (1800 °C).

What is the difference between artificial and natural graphite?

Natural graphite is mined while synthetic graphite is produced from petroleum feedstocks. Both materials are highly processed to yield a purified, milled, spheroidized, and coated product. Natural graphite has to be mined and concentrated while synthetic graphite must be graphitized at ca. 3,000 °C.

What is synthetic graphite powder used for?

Synthetic graphite is used in many applications including but not limited to friction, foundry, electrical carbons, fuel cell bi-polar plates, coatings, electrolytic processes, corrosion products, conductive fillers, rubber and plastic compounds, and drilling applications.

What is the benefit of graphite powder?

Graphite and graphite powder are having high importance in industrial applications for their self-lubricating and also dry lubricating characteristics. It has been believed that the lubricating properties of graphite are only due to the loose inter lamellar bonding between sheets in the structure.
