The particle size of coke in blast furnace smelting is also very important. China's past coke particle size requirements are: for large coke ovens (1300 - 2000 square meters) coke grain size is greater than 40 mm; medium and small blast furnace coke grain size is greater than 25 mm. However, tests at some steel mills have shown that coke particle size is better at 40 - 25 mm. Cokes larger than 80 mm should be granulated so that the particle size range does not change much. In this way, the coke has a uniform block size, a large gap, a small resistance, and a good running condition.
