Product Help and FAQS
Q: Does it need a battery? Does it use flint?
A: Totally no, fully automatic electronic ignition.
Q: Does it come filled ?
A: No, it comes without butane due to safety issues, it is easy to order the butane cartridges online or buy from local shop.
Q: Is it hard to refill for this torch?
A: No, turn the torch upside down, insert gas canister's long nozzle into the filling valve, make sure you get the long nozzle butane can. If you just have short nozzle butane in handy, you need the adapter to connect the butane can, and insert the nozzle into the filling valve. Keep press-release when refilling through the valve for 3-5 times.
Q: Do we have to keep the ignition trigger depressed while using?
A: No, the trigger is only to ignite the flame but does not need to be pressed all the time, it will still be on by itself.
Q: How do I know the torch chamber is full when I refill ?
A: when the gas start to hiss and spew, it means the torch cylinder is full, then let it stablize for a few minutes before use. I suggest that you'd better fill the gas in 3-5 times once.
Q: Can it work as a candle lighter or kitchen lighter?
A: Yes, its ignition button is far away from its flame, so it's easy to light candles or flambing food.
Q: Is this torch safe to use for food?
A: Yes, It is the professional butane torch for food
Q: Would this be a good torch for searing a steak after souve cooking?
A: Absolutely!
Q: Any smell of residue butane when used to sear steaks?
A: None at all. Before directing towards the food, light the torch and wait a second or two to burn off any errant fuel.
Q: Can I use this torch lighter for heating a metal?
A: Yes for some metal, we can use it for heating rusted lug nuts on car and melting.
