Dissolved oxygen meters typically consist of a probe or sensor and a meter or display unit. The probe, often referred to as an oxygen sensor or electrode, is the component that comes into contact with the liquid being tested and measures the concentration of dissolved oxygen. It usually employs a polarographic or galvanic cell to detect and quantify the oxygen content.
The meter or display unit is responsible for receiving the signal from the probe and converting it into a readable measurement value. It may display the dissolved oxygen concentration in various units, such as milligrams per liter (mg/L) or parts per million (ppm). Some advanced meters also provide additional features like temperature compensation, data logging, and connectivity options for data transfer.
The handheld device can be used for monitoring of dissolved oxygen, temperature and PH in water, and can meet the requirements of portable accurate water quality measurement.
