The GCE 3U RBMS is a high-voltage battery management system engineered for industrial and commercial energy storage, solar power plants, microgrids, and UPS backup applications. It supports battery configurations up to 192 series-connected cells with a nominal system voltage of 614.4V, delivering reliable control and protection for demanding high-voltage lithium battery storage systems.
The integrated active balancing function supports currents up to 3A, effectively equalizing the state of charge across individual battery cells. This improves usable battery capacity and helps maintain consistent cell performance over the system's service life.
The RBMS manages both charging and discharging processes and provides configurable protection parameters. Core protection functions include:
- Overvoltage and overcharge protection
- Undervoltage and deep discharge protection
- Battery system temperature monitoring
- Short circuit protection
- Pre-charge control
- Operating status monitoring and event logging
These functions enhance the reliability and safety of high-voltage battery storage systems.
The system supports a multi-level battery management architecture:
- BMU: Monitors individual battery cell parameters
- RBMS: Serves as the main battery controller
- SBMS: Coordinates multiple battery clusters
For standalone configurations, the BMU + RBMS architecture is used. For parallel connection of multiple clusters, the BMU + RBMS + SBMS architecture can be deployed.
Insulation resistance monitoring is available as an option for high-voltage battery systems. This function is designed for systems with operating voltages of 300V and above, in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
The RBMS supports the following communication interfaces:

- Ethernet
- Dry contacts
The system can integrate with PCS, inverters, UPS units, and monitoring systems, provided communication protocols are compatible. Custom protocol matching with customer equipment is available upon request.
