This Cisco DS-SFP-FC8G-SW Compatible 8GFC-SW transceiver is designed for 8Gbps short wave fibre channel connectivity applications, which provides link up to 300m over multi-mode fiber(MMF) via duplex LC receptacle.
This 8GFC-SW transceiver uses top quality 850nm VSCEL Laser transmitter and PIN Photodiode receiver. It is fully compliant with FC-PI-4 Rev. 8.00 and SFF-8472 Rev 11.0 and compatible with SFF-8432 and applicable portions of SFF-8431 Rev. 4.1.
This 8GFC-SW optical transceiver is factory pre-programmed with all the necessary configuration data for seamless network integration and performs identically to genuine Cisco DS-SFP-FC8G-SW transceivers, with excellent interoperation on Cisco SFP+ port data center switches, for example, Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Switches.
