OC-12/STM-4 SR-0 SFP 850nm 500m Multi-Mode DOM Duplex LC Transceiver Module SONET/SDH

Description

The GIGAOPTO's GTS-L8506-02DC transceiver is a dual fiber 622Mbps Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) module for duplex optical data communications such as in OC12/STM-4 SONET/SDH application. This SFP OC12-SR provides 622Mb/s throughput up to 500 meters over multi-mode fiber (MMF) using 850nm wavelength.

The transmitter section uses an 850nm VCSEL laser that is a class 1 laser compliant according to International Safety Standard IEC 60825. The receiver section uses a high-speed InGaAs PIN photodiode (PD) and a trans-impedance preamplifier. The 622Mbps SFP module series is fully compliant with the SFP Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472.
