To interpret signal level with maximum precision, you’ll need to switch your smartphone into Field test mode (FTM). It’s a free application available in the App Store and Google Play Store requiring no extra setups for iOS and Android operating systems respectively. For each OS, the following steps need to be performed:
1. iOS. Type * 3001 # 12345 # * and touch Call
2. Android. Type * # * # 197328640 # * # * to activate
3. Windows. Type # # 3282 # and start.
4. Blackberry. Press TOOLS, SETTINGS, STATUS or OPTIONS, STATUS.
It is important to turn off WiFi for getting the right parameters of 2G, 3G and 4G LTE. If you are unable to search for the Field Test Mode on your smartphone, contact us to help you out with completing the Field Test mode.
