Principle of single point sensors
The elastomer (elastic element, sensitive beam) is deformed elastically by an external force, the resistance strain gauge is pasted on its surface (conversion element) and with the deformation, the resistance changes (increases or decreases) and the corresponding measuring circuit converts the change in resistance into an electrical signal (voltage or current), thus completing the conversion process of the external signal.
