Description Of Fiber Optic Transceiver
Modern network widely chooses optical fiber for long-distance connection. However, the limited fiber resources and high infrastructure investment restrict the network development of some undeveloped regions. To save fiber resources, many operators favor the application of bidirectional optical transceivers which only use single-core rather than dual-core fiber for optical transmission. The BIDI transceivers can cut half of the new fiber investment and offer double bandwidth with the existing fiber resources. The BIDI transceivers can serve as the low cost solution against the traditional duplex transceivers for Metro, Long haul network configuration.
TBD-1.25G-120A/120B is a bidirectional Hot-pluggable SFP Form optical transceiver. TBD-1.25G-120A/120B features the BIDI wavelength of 1490nm and 1550nm to offer the max transmission of 120km via G.652 Singlemode Fiber. TBD-1.25G-120A/120B features a Simplex LC connector and is fully compliant with BIDI SFP MSA. TBD-1.25G-120A/120B can guarantee compatible with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches and Routers to replace Cisco GLC-BX120-U, GLC-BX120-D for 1000BASE-ZX application.
