| The mold measures 400 x 400 x 426 millimeters with a base part number of DDI3540 70100100 and was manufactured to LKM standards. It is a three-plate mold with 7 slides and 2 lifters. The mold weighs 418 kilograms and uses a pinpoint gate that turns into a side gate filling system. The sprue bushing is located in the center of the mold base, giving the mold a more flexible structure. The mold surface was finished with EDM to a VDI27# roughness to make it smooth without pits, reducing surface friction and allowing the part to be molded with a smoother surface that is less likely to stick. The mold is rated for 500,000 shots and designed for use in a 110-ton injection molding machine to produce the injection molded part made of polycarbonide (PC) reinforced with 10% glass fiber, weighing 4.8 grams and measuring 55.51 x 11.20 x 107.96 millimeters. |
