| The mold is a three-plates mold with a size of 280mm (L) x 270mm (W) x 296mm (H). It is built on a standard mold base FCI2327 608080 from LKM. |
| The mold is designed to have a tool life of up to 500k shots and has a net weight of 132 kg. It requires an injection molding machine with a tonnage of 140T.To meet high requirements for part appearance, the mold has a sub gate and requires high injection pressure. It is also self-degating, meaning there is no need for additional trimming or cutting of the part after molding. The surface finish of the housing includes VDI24 etch on the A surface and EDM with VDI24# on the inner surface using Charmilles equipment. For the bracket, the A surface is EDM with VDI27# and the gluing surface is EDM with VDI21#, both done using Makino equipment.The cavity and core of the mold are made of hardened steel with a composition of 1+1/S136. |
