Working Principle of Plastic Pellet Hopper Dryer

The plastic resin is loaded by the vacuum loader to the drying hopper, after drying, the dried resin is loaded to the feeding port of the molding machine. It's suitable for normal plastic resin drying, not suitable for hygroscopic resin drying. For drying of hygroscopic plastic granules, low dew-point dehumidifying dryers are needed for drying.

Simple Introduction of Plastic Pellet Hopper Dryer

ODL drying loader series is the combination of hopper dryer and vacuum auto loader, it has the function of drying and loading by itself. Usually, the auto loader is responsible for two directions loading, load the plastic materials to the hopper dryer and load the dried resin to the IMM or extruder or other place. Two piece of OMH micro-switch hopper receivers or one piece of OMH and one piece of OPH photo-sensor hopper is equipped for the machine.

It is suitable for drying of non-hygroscopic plastic pellets, like PVC, PP, PE and etc. A floor stand is always applied for both the hopper dryer and the auto loader, for models below ODL-240, castors are standard equipped for easy movement, for bigger models, castors are not equipped. The machine should be installed within 5 meter from the molding machine.

Matters Needing Attention

Electrical installation of the machine should be done by qualified electricians.

Connecting the cooling water (if needed) after the machine is installed in a appointing place, make sure the inlet and outlet water pipe is in good condition.

Before connecting to AC Power Source, turn power switch to OFF position. While AC power source is connected, make sure specifications and overload protection rating of the power switch are suitable and reliable. When the machine is under care or maintenance, turn off both power switch and automatic operation switch.
